Anneliese Messner has many years of experience as a piano and voice instructor and choral director in the USA,
Austria and Germany. She teaches all ages and offers her students a wide range of learning opportunities.
She enjoys making her private lessons focused, challenging and fun. Her lessons can be held in English or German since she is bilingual.
Various piano method books are used to ensure that students are exposed to music theory,
proper piano technique, artistry, ear training as well as multiple musical styles,
from classical to jazz and modern. Some examples of piano books are Piano Adventures,
Alfred, Dozen a Day, Schaum and Heumann. There are three recitals a year.
Students are encouraged to participate in them but are not forced to.
Lessons include stretching and breathing exercises as well as vocal warm-ups.
Students learn basic music theory, including ear training and sight reading.
Students learn songs from different genres: musicals, classical, jazz and modern.
